This hall way has tile floors with tall baseboards. See how the baseboards are pulling from the wall and the caulk is starting to separate. The baseboard in the photo has been wet long enough that it starting to pull away from the wall. Baseboards are usually made of wood or MDF. MDF base boards will swell up sooner than wood baseboards therefore they will pull away from the wall sooner. The amount of swelling and the baseboard material type will often give us an idea of how long the materials have been wet.
