Wooden Gym Floor Dry Out - Austin, TX

SERVPRO of Hyde Park / Central Austin dried out another gym floor in Austin, TX.

This local Austin, TX School had a moisture issue causing this gym floor to swell up almost 16". Gym wood floors are installed on wood screeds that run perpendicular or angled to the floor planking. The screeds create channels under the wood floor that will allow us to force warm dry air under the floor to dry it out. As the floor dries the wood planking will shrink back to size allowing the floor to settle back down into place. Drying form the top is not the best option since these floors have finish applied after they were installed or it has been refinished at some point after installation and the loss date.
