Sever Storm Tips - Hand Held Radios

Hello!

Do you live in a coastal region or flood plain?  Do you own a pair of hand held radios?  If not, SERVPRO of Hyde Park / Central Austin believes you should seriously consider purchasing a pair.   Cell phones have drastic disadvantages during a server storm event.   Cell tower will be down and the power outages may affect the cell service. 

Hand held radios don't require towers.  You should be able to get continuous weather reports and constant communication. 

Keep a pack of batteries along with your hand help radios.  Today's battery have a very long shelf life.  Battery life for most hand held radios will last for days.

Even if you don't live in the coastal region you might have good reason for a set of hand held radio?
